How CATin works: one system for CAT preparation
Most CAT preparation is a pile of separate things: a mock series, a question bank, a PDF of formulas, a timetable you wrote yourself. You sit a mock, look at the score, and decide on your own what to do next. CATin is built as one loop instead, and each part feeds the next. Only CATin connects every step: you sit a timed mock → the analysis is ready the moment you submit → you keep up to 3 fixes → they lead tomorrow's plan → you practise them → 2 days later, a check on questions you haven't seen tells you whether the fix held.
The loop: sit, see, fix, revise, repeat
- Sit a mock. 80+ high-quality CAT mocks: 22 official CAT papers (2017–2025), 26 full CATin mocks written to the real CAT pattern, 10 CAT Mixers built from real CAT questions, and 30 sectionals. Timed section by section, scored the CAT way (+3, −1 for a wrong MCQ, 0 for a wrong TITA).
- See exactly where marks went. The post-mock analysis sorts every question by outcome, time and difficulty, shows the easy questions you left, the hard ones that cost marks, and the time you sank into questions you then skipped. What the analysis shows. See a sample analysis, step by step on one CAT 2024 Slot 1 sitting, no sign-up. Every section of the analysis explained, with screenshots and a video.
- Fix it with targeted practice. Keep up to 3 fixes from each mock: the topic that cost the most, the wrong answers still to go through, the biggest time sink. 3,000+ questions to practise, each with a worked solution.
- Check the fix held. Two days after you practise a fix, a 5-question check on questions you have never seen shows whether it stuck. Getting old questions right again can be memory; new ones are the test.
- Revise before it fades. Each topic moves through learn, practise, revise and mastered; spaced revision brings back the questions you got wrong, so a topic you cleared in April is still there in November.
- Follow one daily plan. The planner writes each day to exam day: the fixes you kept first, then mock slots, revision that is due, and extra work on the topics still costing you marks. Short on time? Tell it 30, 45 or 60 minutes today. How the planner works.
What only CATin does
Other CAT resources give you one piece: a mock series, a question bank, a formula PDF, a timetable. Only CATin connects every step: you sit a timed mock → the analysis is ready the moment you submit → you keep up to 3 fixes → they lead tomorrow's plan → you practise them → 2 days later, a check on questions you haven't seen tells you whether the fix held. Nothing you learn from a mock gets lost between tools.
Why one connected system raises your score faster
A score only rises when the specific mistakes behind it stop happening. In a scattered setup, the link between "I lost 9 marks on DILR sets I should have skipped" and "tomorrow I practise set selection" depends on you making it every single time. CATin makes that link for you: the analysis finds the pattern, you keep it as a fix, the planner puts it first the next day, and a check on questions you have not seen, two days after you practise it, shows whether it held. You spend your hours on the work that moves your percentile, not on deciding what to work on.

What is CATin?
CATin is a CAT exam preparation app for Indian MBA aspirants. It connects mocks, post-mock analysis, topic practice, spaced revision and a daily study planner, so each mistake you make becomes the next thing you study.
How is CATin different from a mock test series?
A mock series gives you papers and a score. Only CATin connects every step: you sit a timed mock → the analysis is ready the moment you submit → you keep up to 3 fixes → they lead tomorrow's plan → you practise them → 2 days later, a check on questions you haven't seen tells you whether the fix held. Around that: practice on the topics behind your mistakes, spaced revision of your wrong answers, and a daily plan to exam day.
How many mocks does CATin have?
80+ CAT mocks: 22 official CAT papers from 2017 to 2025, 26 full CATin mocks written to the real CAT pattern, 10 CAT Mixers built from real CAT questions, and 30 sectional tests for VARC, DILR and QA — with 3,000+ questions to practise, each with a worked solution.
Is CATin free?
Yes, partly. The last three years of official CAT papers with full analysis, a daily reading article, formula sheets and the Vedic maths track are free. CATin Pro unlocks everything else; a 1-day trial costs ₹9.
