CAT 2025 had 68 questions in 120 minutes: VARC 24, DILR 22 and QA 22, 40 minutes a section, so the maximum was 204. A question counts when its status on your sheet says Answered, including Answered and Marked for Review.

Questions
How is the CAT score calculated?
CAT gives +3 for each right answer. A wrong MCQ costs 1 mark; a wrong TITA (type in the answer) question costs nothing, and a question you did not attempt scores 0. CAT 2025 had 68 questions, VARC 24, DILR 22 and QA 22, so the maximum was 204. This calculator uses the same rules. A question counts as attempted when your sheet's status says Answered, including Answered and Marked for Review.
How do I find my CAT 2026 response sheet?
Once the response sheets are out, sign in at iimcat.ac.in with your CAT ID and password and open your response sheet. It is a page on cdn.digialm.com. Copy its address and paste it here, or save the page (Ctrl+S, or Save page as) and upload the file. If the sheet opens inside the CAT site, right-click it and choose Open frame in new tab to get its own address.
When will the CAT 2026 response sheet and answer key be out?
The IIMs have not announced a date. Response sheets came out five days after the exam in 2024 and four days after in 2025, at 5 pm. For the exam on 29 Nov 2026, expect them around 3 Dec, possibly from 1 Dec. This page shows your attempts as soon as you have your sheet, and your score once the official provisional answer keys are out.
Why is the percentile only an estimate?
The IIMs do not publish how scores turn into percentiles until the results, and the marks needed for a percentile move from year to year. So the percentile here is a range read from CAT-level data sets that we have used, reviewed and put up, and it is labelled estimated. Your actual percentile comes with the result in December.
What is slot normalisation, and does this calculator do it?
CAT 2026 is held in three slots, each with a different paper. Before percentiles are worked out, the IIMs scale each slot's scores so that a harder paper does not count against you. This calculator shows your raw score, the marks you actually got, and reads the percentile from that raw score. So your scaled score and percentile can differ, more so in an unusually easy or hard slot.
Is my response sheet stored or shared?
No. If you upload the saved page, it is read in your browser and never leaves your device. If you paste the link, our server fetches that one page and passes it straight back to your browser, without saving it or logging the link. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number, and the score card is shared only if you choose to share it.
What happens to dropped questions?
If the official key drops a question, the result says so and how it was counted: left out of the score and the maximum, or +3 for everyone, following what the IIMs announce.
Can I check my score on a phone?
Yes. Open your response sheet in your phone's browser, use Share and then Copy link, and paste the link here. On Android, Chrome's Download button also saves the page as a file you can upload.
